The Vet Art Project creates opportunities for veterans to work in collaboration with artists from all disciplines to create new art about war for public performance and viewing.

This not-to-be-missed presentation and panel discussion is the culmination of workshops where local artists, military veterans, and their family members worked in partnership over a four month period to create visual and performance art that sheds light on the stories and experiences of members of our local veteran community and how war affects us all.

Hosted by Freehold Studio Lab Theatre and facilitated by Caroline Brown, the goals of the Vet Art Project Seattle are to create stronger voices among our veterans, offer a venue to hear the voices of our veteran and artists, and foster discussions as to how war affects us all. The Vet Art Project Seattle is modeled after the original Vet Art Project in Chicago and one of many projects growing worldwide.

Work by contributing artists includes: Gerry Condon, Michelle de la Vega, Ross Erickson, Bahija Hamraz, Caroline Kelly, John Leith, Mike Nyeste, Jacques Pugh, Sean Ryan, Vanessa Skantze, Ken Slusher, Jim Stichka, and Nathania tenWolde.
